A maternity hospital is a place where you can go for prenatal care, labor and delivery, postpartum care, and babyCenter (for babies up to six months old). You should go to the hospital as soon as possible if you think you may be in labor. However, some women wait until they feel their contractions get stronger. Labor can start anywhere from 4 to 36 hours after relations, so it’s important not to wait too long.

Your rights during pregnancy and childbirth include:

-The right to choose your own doctor.

-The right to privacy.

-The right to decide whether or not you want an epidural or other pain relief medication.

-The right to ask questions and get information about your health.
